THE CHANGE MATES TEAM

LUKAS GOLTERMAN

At the Partnership with Africa Foundation (SPA e.V.), Lukas Goltermann managed the project in the last two years as part of the COMENGA Programme. For this year’s GLOBAL CHANGEMATES FELLOWSHIP he supports the project on a management and content level – years of experience and excellent ideas concerning intercultural exchange and digital tools have influenced the content of the toolkit greatly. Lukas is living in Berlin.

RUTH KIMANI

Since the Nairobi and Berlin workshops in January 2014, where she helped developing the German-African collaboration toolkit immeasurably, Ruth Kimani is one of the central GLOBAL CHANGEMATES members. Her many years of experience as a professional for HIVOS International is irreplaceable and enriches the GLOBAL CHANGEMATES approach with numerous ideas and contacts within East Africa’s CSO scene. As frontrunner for civil society movement in Kenya, Ruth is involved in kickstarting transnational collaboration on a personal level.

CHRISTINE KOLBE

The idea of the TOOLKIT came into being when Christine Kolbe was inspired by a COMENGA conference to start thinking about German-African educational programmes. She imagined a handy card box containing valuable information and instructions, a concept for networking of dedicated Civil Society Activists and CSO’s. As an experienced concept designer of work-shops and tutorials with a burning interest for digital culture and open systems, Christine is curious if deeper discourse could rise by peer-to-peer learning settings OUT OF THE BOX!

JEFFREY WALIMBWA

Jeffrey Walimbwa is an experienced activist in the field of Health Education in Nairobi. He developed an innovative network approach for German-African but also intra-African networking. Early on, he enriched the first steps of the GLOBAL CHANGEMATES with his ideas and recommendations. He is responsible for a transparent programme development and continues to develop, in particular, the African perspective. Jeff also is a passionate cook and will flank our workshops with delicious food!
